Howard Finster's Paradise Garden - Summerville, Georgia
This place is really mind boggling. Every square inch is covered in fascinating detail. There is so much to see and uncover and see that I could easily spend days here. Howard Finster had a vision in 1976 that called him to create sacred art. He pursued his mission continuously and relentlessly until his death in 2001 at the age of 84.

Little Saint Simons Island
Little St. Simons Island is a paradise for bird and nature lovers. Ten thousand acres never developed, never logged. It is one of the jewels in Georgia's barrier island. it is also one of the youngest - estimate to only be about 2000 years old. During spring and fall migrations it is one of the best places on the east coast to see the migrating birds.

Flint River - Georgia
The Flint River flows combines with the Chattahoochee to form the Apalachicola and flows into Florida and Gulf. The water flows through this system have been the subject of a long and intense battle between Georgia, Alabama and Florida. These flows nurture the Apalachicola Bay, home to the highly productive oyster beds and an old way of life. We should be doing everything we can to protect this vital basin.

Snow Days in Atlanta!
We've had two snow storms that have shut the city down in the last two weeks. Kind of unusual for this part of the country, so you can bet everyone with a camera in town was out snapping shots.
