Exploring Atlanta's Beltline Trail

Atlanta's Beltline project will take years to complete. Right now only a portion is paved, but you can mountain bike much of the dirt and gravel paths that run along old rail track beds.

I was lucky to get a spot in a one-day class with National Geographic photographer Peter Essick. We spent the day - sunrise to sunset - at McIntosh Reserve Park on the Chattahoochee south of Atlanta.
